Last Friday, The Telegraph published a profile of M.C. Beaton, giving a brief background on the writer to coincide with her being named the 3rd most borrowed adult author in the latest UK Public Lending Right figures.

Jake Kerrigan talks about her background as a journalist and as a romance author, and how she turned to crime writing because the kind of books she wanted to read weren't being written; there were, "no books for a bad time on a wet day."
